Mainstream depictions of kink center white bodies creating the misconception that black kinky people do not exist. Kink can be a form of art. When that kink is applied to melanin it creates beauty not seen or celebrated by the mainstream. This talk will discuss the importance of having kinky spaces centered on black people, how black kink different from the mainstream, and the beauty of pleasure and intense sensation.


Shanae “HonestlyNae” Adams, MA, LPCC, NCC, CIGT (pronouns she/they) serves her community in a variety of ways including therapist, educator, and sex-positive enthusiast.
